Each chakra consists of twelve points of light in a circle. Each chakra is associated with a specific realm of the human experience. When you activate a chakra, it's like turning on a switch that enhances our connection to that part of the human experience. 1st Chakra: Physical Physical vitality - This chakra is your connection to the earth and the physical life forces activating your body. 2nd Chakra: Sexual Passion and sexuality - Your charisma and ability to manifest is fueled by your willingness to express your dreams and wishes with passion. Your sexual pleasure and reproductive capacity is also connected to this chakra. 3rd Chakra: Feeling Body Intelligence - Your body's ability to sense and communicate what it is experiencing through non-verbal sensations we call feelings. When you open your awareness to your feelings you gain access to your body intelligence that is not encumbered with belief systems or ego preferences. 4th Chakra: Emotion When you experience life situations which evoke strong responses from your feelings (body intelligence), your intellect (mental intelligence) attempts to determine what is happening. The emotion chakra is the conference room or battleground where the intellect and feelings meet. 5th Chakra: Thinking Reason and judgment - This is the domain of the analytical mind with its complexity and duality. From early childhood you are taught to explore reason and judgement. 6th Chakra: Euphoric Elated and enraptured - this is the domain where you experience elation and rapture, or rejection and depression. Your sense of personal power can be greatly inflated or deflated by winning or failing to attain prized conceptual goals. 7th Chakra: Heart Love without conditions has no boundaries and does not change. Activating the heart chakra helps you to experience peace. 8th Chakra: Healing Compassion and loving-kindness. This chakra carries deep awareness of shared suffering combined with a desire to alleviate or reduce the suffering of others. 9th Chakra: Throat Intuition and creativity. It has the power or faculty of gaining direct realization of knowledge or perception without the use of rational thought. This domain is a gateway into the sacred and the higher creative aspects of human awareness. 10th Chakra: Mouth Response and Will - Making choices from your perceived options and expressing your response. Your ability to maintain your desired course of actions is determined by your will that resides within this domain. 11th Chakra: Third Eye Wisdom, perception, illumination - This is the domain of deep understanding and the intelligent application of what is true and lasting. Your ability to transform your dreams into manifestation is greatly enhanced when this chakra is ignited. 12th Chakra: Crown Bliss and your connection to spirit. When ignited this chakra becomes the pilothouse where your awareness guides the expansion and navigation of your inner light body. See more on the Crown chakra here. |
